About Joe Chambers

 

My name is Joe Chambers and I am a recovering infidel that is desparately seeking God.  I am an avid reader and writer and have been a continuous learner since my college studies in Ancient Literature and English.

For many years I was a pastor yet recently I have been involved in the market place in various business interests.  I am now serving as pastor again in a new church plant in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.  My experiences include leadership at the executive board level for national organizations, small business and local community groups. 

I don’t believe anyone remembers and applies anything apart from stories.  Therefore I am always looking for and seeing stories in all of life.  The greatest story ever told is the riches-to-rags story of Jesus Christ becoming a man, living a perfect life and dying on a cross so that an old sinner like me can know that I am forgiven, loved and never alone.  I believe I have been put here to tell people that God is not mad at them and to show them the way Home.

I live in Mukilteo, Washington with my wife and youngest son.  I have two other sons, daughter-in-law and a grandson.  I love to read, tell stories, and spend time in the wilderness with my friends and sons.
